Financial Planner

I'm originally from Chattanooga, but my dad was in the military, so six weeks after I was born, my mom and I flew to Germany, where we lived for two years. We moved through Florida and Virginia before settling in Charlotte. Now I live in Rock Hill, SC, an active community with great cycling, hiking, and outdoor activities.

I grew up watching family members make poor financial decisions that left us struggling. I didn't want that life for myself or anyone else. In junior high, I won a stock-picking contest. That early spark, combined with later financial mistakes of my own, shaped my entire career. Now I help others create the life they want and avoid pitfalls along the journey.

My faith in Jesus Christ is the driving force for everything I do. I'm not perfect, but I strive to reflect him in both big and small things. It's my compass. If I were accused of being a Christian, I'd want there to be plenty of evidence to support that.

I'm a single mom who recently adopted two daughters, Skylar and Shana. My brother, John, and his family also live in Rock Hill. Between my close friends who are like family, two dogs, Xena and Enoch, and a cat, Carly, my house is full, noisy, and never dull. I couldn't be an entrepreneur, single parent, and businesswoman without the village that supports me.

Outside the office, I make soap, sunscreen, moisturizers, and fire cider. I garden to run an "ingredient household" that relies less on processed products. I'm part of a book club (mostly an excuse to socialize with great women, though I genuinely love reading), I listen to podcasts constantly, and I serve on the board of Children's Attention Home. I stay connected to the community by networking with business owners and supporting local causes. The flexibility to work hard but also take off for my daughter's field trip or work from home when someone's sick matters deeply to me.

What motivates me is helping someone reach a goal they didn't think possible and educating individuals so they have a real understanding of consumer finance and have options to live purposeful lives. As Einstein supposedly said, "Compound interest is the 8th wonder of the world. Those who understand it earn it, and those who don't pay it." Money is a tool that can create freedom to make choices.

I believe financial planning works best when I actually understand who you are and what drives you. That means listening to your story first, not leading with products or portfolio recommendations. Every client I work with has different priorities, different challenges, and different definitions of financial freedom. My job is figuring out what yours looks like, then building a strategy that aim to get you there.

Over thirty years in financial services has taught me that the best plans address five core areas: aligning your investments with your goals and risk tolerance, exploring tax mitigation and income strategies, safeguarding what you've built, preparing to transfer wealth on your terms, and structuring your giving for maximum potential impact. I work alongside your legal and tax professionals to make sure everything connects properly. I hold my Series 7, 66, with LPL Enterprise and Life & Health licenses.

Markets shift. Interest rates fluctuate. Life priorities evolve. My commitment to helping you pursue your goals stays constant.
